Cookie Policy

Last updated September 22, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Peristyle uses on peristyle.io: a handful the site needs to work, privacy-first analytics, and — when we are running ads — the measurement tools that tell us which ads brought someone here.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between visits, such as whether you are signed in or which theme you prefer. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others are optional.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies

  • Session. Keeps you signed in to your creator dashboard so you do not have to log in on every page.
  • Theme preference. Remembers whether you chose the light, dark, or system theme so the page looks the way you left it.

These cookies are necessary for the Service, so they cannot be switched off from within the site. You can still block them in your browser, though parts of the Service may stop working if you do.

Analytics

We measure aggregate traffic with a cookieless, privacy-first analytics tool. It tells us which pages are visited and how the site performs, without setting advertising cookies, without tracking you across other sites, and without building a profile of you. Because it does not use cookies for tracking, it does not require a consent banner.

Advertising and measurement

When we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to see which ads led to a sign-up. Together they set first-party cookies (_fbp, and _fbc if you arrived from an ad) and send Meta a record of the page you were on and the action you took — for example requesting a report or starting a site.

If you give us an email address as part of that action, it is hashed in transit and Meta receives only the hash, never the address itself. We do not send Meta the contents of your recipes, your site, or anything you type beyond the fields of the form you submitted.

These are advertising technologies. If you would rather not be measured this way, you can:

  • block third-party scripts or use a tracker-blocking browser or extension;
  • turn off "Activity off Meta technologies" in your Facebook or Instagram settings;
  • send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour as an opt-out of sale or sharing.

Third-party cookies

When you pay for a plan, our payment provider may set its own cookies to process the transaction securely. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policies.

Managing cookies

You can view, block, and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you clear existing cookies and refuse new ones. If you block essential cookies, features like staying signed in may not work as expected.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the date above.
